Day 4 of food poisoning / stomach flu and I’ve decided to bring my own rice to the New Years Eve party I’m going to tonight in order to have something I can (maybe) keep down.
On the plus side: starting the new year 10 pounds lighter than I was 4 days ago…. Win???
When people make or buy sweets specifically for Emma and I’m not ready for my 18-month old to be eating all that sugar… The polite and least wasteful thing to do is eat it all myself right?
This time three days ago I had not bought a single Christmas present. This time 1 week and 3 days ago I hadn’t even ordered my Christmas cards yet.
Today I mailed 60+ hand-addressed cards (must look into printing shipping labels next year) along with a box to my sister and a box to my goddaughter, handed out awesome presents (if I do say so myself) to my team at work and have the majority of presents for my Hawaii family wrapped under the tree (including a monstrously huge present for my spoiled daughter that I built myself).
Oh my god, I am tired! Note to self: do NOT procrastinate next year.
Maybe I’ll start Christmas 2016 shopping in January.
The product of the parent-toddler art project at yesterday’s daycare Xmas party. Pro: Emma is strong-willed and will do what she wants regardless of what her mom says. (Yay creative art!) Con: Emma is strong-willed and will do what she wants regardless of what her mom says. (Those teenage years are going to be a blast!)
Also…. I have an irrational fear for anything with more than 2 eyes.
Awesomeness = bumping into your bro-in-law at work (our company’s HQs share the same office building) and getting some of the presents he brought in for his coworkers. Thanks bro!
