On Monday Emma reached a milestone I had been waiting so long (21 months long) for her to reach. I told her I loved her and almost fainted when she answered back “I You!”

Since that moment she always responds with her version of I love you. To some special individuals she even says I love you without being prompted.

And by special individuals I of course mean…. The cats.

I you, Emma, I you!

Day 1 (again…) of Couch 2 5K. Considering that with the exception of a yoga DVD my coworker talked me into doing with her, I haven’t worked out since before the Christmas holidays (soooo embarrassing), today was brutal at best.

250-some-odd days before the Honolulu Marathon is more than enough time to get into running shape…. Right…?

My goal bar has gotten really low as well. It used to be to look hot in a swimsuit. Now it’s just to have people stop asking me when my baby is due. I usually just say it’s at least 10 months from now but probably more, and walk away while they are mulling that one over.

In other news, people are assholes.

Ok now I feel bad… Noah’s “So LUCKY to have you in my class” label on the lucky charms treats was from etsy and everything.

Meanwhile I didn’t even know giving out treats at daycare was a thing for St. Patty’s day so I didn’t give anything. I did seem to be one of the few parent to have brought in the requested filled plastic eggs for next week’s Easter egg hunt. And that stuff was really hard work.

And by really hard work I mean I sent Ryan out to buy the items and he found already filled egg options and then put it in a bag and then put the bag in my car. But it was YOURS TRULY that walked those eggs into day care.

Mom Faux Pas

Hypothetically speaking, if I work hard in the morning to make sure Emma is fed a delicious and healthy breakfast and never have time to feed myself, is it really bad if I then eat the food treats I find in her diaper bag from her daycare friends from St. Patty’s day?

On a completely unrelated topic, thank you for the Lucky Charms Noah, it really hit the spot!
